På temperament får Maine Coon-katten selvfølgelig på en skala fra 1-10 poeng, 10 POENG!!!

Den er helt spesiell i sin adferd, den er leken, morsom, selskapelig, og veldig nysgjerrig!

Den er hurtig, smidig og beveger seg som en gazelle, også om den blir stor og tung. En hann veier normalt mellom 6-8 kilo og hunnene mellom 4-7 kilo.

Kjøper man seg en Maine Coon må man være innstilt på at katten vil være med på ALT!

Den undersøker alt nytt i huset, fra handlenett til nye gjenstander!

Faktisk ligner Maine Coonen mest på hunder i sin atferd, de elsker mennesker og de er selskapssyke. De er der du er! Når man bor sammen med en Maine Coon har en mye underholdning! De elsker å leke og er lærevillige. De elsker å bli lekt med, og lære en Maine Coon for eksempel å apportere er ingen problem! De lærer også greit å gå i bånd.

Kattene har høy "toleransegrense" og godtar uten problemer å bli badet og stelt for eksempel foran en utstilling. De tar også både korte og lange bilturer med knusende ro! De er intelligente og selvstendige,  men bør sette "grenser" i oppveksten, i likhet med oppdragelsen til en hund!

At its temper the Maine Coon cat gets in a scale from 1-10 points, of course 10 points!!!
The cat is special in its behaviour, it is playful, funny, social, and incredible curious!

It is fast, agile and moves like a gazelle, also if it gets big and heavy. A males weight is normally from 6-8 kilos and the females from 4-6 kilos.
 
If you buy yourself a Maine Coon, you must be prepared that the cats wants to join you in all the things you do.
The cat examins everything in the house, all from shopping bags to new things.

The Maine Coon actually got the way of behaviour like a dog, They love people and they want to be in the center of everything. They want to be where you are! When you live together with a Maine Coon you get plenty of entertainment! They love to play and they are quick to learn. The love to get played with and it is no problem to walk the cat in a cat-string.

The cats have high "limits in tolerance" and accept with no problems to get showered and brushed before a show. A small or long trip with the car is no challenge for a Maine Coon cat. They are also very intelligent and independent, but you shall put up limits in the youth, just like the upbringing to a dog
